We have full-time opportunities based in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland, on either a permanent or fixed-term basis.

What you'll do:

• Own structural analysis and design for a work area, largely on your own, to a high standard.

• Work on structures you won’t find in a typical consultancy: rides and attractions, construction products, and the rigs that test them.

• Choose the right approach for problems that aren’t fully defined, and change course when something isn’t working.

• Check your own calculations before anyone else sees them.

• Work alongside mechanical engineers, designers, technicians and clients, and explain the load path plainly.

What you'll bring:

• A Bachelor of Engineering (Civil or Structural).

• A few years’ experience past graduate level, owning structural design work on real projects.

• Analysis and design to NZ standards, such as AS/NZS 1170, NZS 3404 and NZS 3101.

• Clear and well organised calculation records.

• Curiosity and comfort working through problems with no clear precedent.

• CPEng is beneficial, but not essential.

• Experience leading or mentoring others is nice to have but not required.

Where you'll work:
You can be based in Christchurch, Wellington or Auckland. Our lab and test facilities are in Christchurch, so if you’re based elsewhere, you can expect some travel. Don’t worry, we’ll take care of it.
